For roof framing, facade battens and decking, lumber gets cut from standard 3, 4 or 5 m lengths. The optimizer tells you which pieces to cut from which board so you buy less material.

Sheet goods (chipboard, MDF, plywood, OSB) are cut in the “▦ 2D panels” mode (Hobby+): rectangular parts with guillotine cuts for a panel saw, with grain direction and edge trim. Irregular shapes are not supported; DXF/SVG export and a CNC mode come with Pro.
A circular saw takes 3–5 mm per cut — set it in the “Kerf” field. If you leave an allowance for finish trimming, add it to your cut lengths first.
